Au cours des six mois que j'ai passés avec mon amie aux Etats-Unis, j'ai eu la chance d'être invité au mois de juin, à un mariage dans le village d'Augusta, au milieu des montagnes et bien-sûr, entouré de cow-boys, c'est à dire de gens qui vivent avec et par l'élevage de chevaux et de bovins. Pour les habitants sur cette terre de légende, il n'est pas question de folklore, mais d'un mode de vie totalement adapté à cette région. Dans ces conditions, il n'est pas étonnant d'assister à la cérémonie entouré de femmes et d'hommes portant d'un côté des robes qui laissent voir de superbes bottes d'équitation décorées et de l'autre, des jeans et des chapeaux noirs de circonstance. Il n'est pas d'avantage surprenant que les mariés et les invités se soient retrouvés, après la célébration qui eut lieu en plein air et sous une belle averse, à partager une bonne pinte de bière artisanale dans un bar décoré de bois de elk (un cervidé local) et autres trophées.
Ensuite, nous avons comme il se doit, bu et mangé avant l'ouverture du bal et l'incontournable jarretière de la mariée.

Wedding in Montana

In the six months I spent with my friend in the United States, I was fortunate to be invited in June, at a wedding in the little town of Augusta, in the mountains and well-course, surrounded by cowboys, ie people living with and raising horses and cattle.
